Daily Blog: Ab workout & Cauliflower Pizza!

Good morning, everyone!

I hit 20,000 blog views this morning! Woohoo! That make's me so incredibly happy.
I made pancakes to celebrate!

#familygoals with the Sacconejolys.

I have to be at the gym early this morning because I'm booked in for a session with my trainer. The one thing that's been frustrating me with my workouts lately is not knowing what ab exercises to do. It's a target area for me at the moment, so I'm going to get him to show me some killer ones to get my abs looking amazing for Hawaii!

Ab session was good! Lots of concentration on getting my form right. Who knew there was so much hip work involved! It will be a really good challenge to work on over the next few weeks.

I stayed for another hour to work on my arm program, which is my hardest one. It's not a favorite at the moment, but it really gets my muscles burning!

I do sets of one minute on, one minute off:

Ropes (small/fast waves)
Reverse lunges with bicep curls (6kgs)
Ropes (big/looping waves)
Cable push-downs (22.5kg)
Ropes (big waves)
Squats on the balance trainer & 4kg dumbbell raises

Then do it all over again! And again.

I actually had to stop after my third set because my shoulders were getting super-tight and painful, so I went and rolled them out with a lacrosse ball. Not fun at all to do, but at least I can move my muscles better now. Feeling quite hungry today (must be all the extra cardio I've been doing) so I'm very happy about having my protein shake right about now.

Got my coffee, water and Spotify ready to go while I do the tedious task of going through my emails. I did just spend twenty minutes frantically searching for a cool song that I heard on the radio in the car ride home. It was the new one by One Republic called Wherever I go.

Time for lunch! I'm having my meal prep of grill tofu, brown rice/quinoa, broccoli, sweet potato, and some frozen vegetables. So simple and so good.
I'm also watching Mr Ben Brown's latest vlog, where he talks about exercise and staying healthy. Totally my type of video! I'm going to have to try his chin-ups of doom one time soon. He also got pretty funny with some road rage vlogging.

Currently working on a blog post, but I really felt like some fruit so I've stopped to make a healthy snack. It's just an apple sliced and topped with some almond butter. Yum!

I've been loving listening to movie scores while I write lately, so today I have Captain America playing. It works really well for productivity!

Annnd it's time for another snack! (Yes, my life revolves around food.) I just made a sandwich with humus, mustard, tuna, spinach and gherkins. Plus a lemon and lime protein ball on the side. I'm just about to tackle another drawing too. Really enjoying getting back into art at the moment.

Gonna watch Iron Man 3 for my afternoon entertainment! This is way better than being at work.

Time to make some dinner! I'm gonna make healthy pizzas. For the base, we have some leftover cauliflower rice from last night that I'm going to mix with some sweet potato puree (also left over) and buckwheat flour to combine it together. Baking it for 15 minutes in the oven to harden.

For the toppings, I went for spinach, mushroom, sundried tomatoes, olives, cashews, and a little cheese. This is going to be so good!

We also had a side of healthy chips! (roasted kale and sweet potato.) Who says healthy food can't taste good? Because this was amazing.

Satisfying those chocolate cravings! This works every time.

That satisfying feeling of taking off your makeup at the end of the day : ) My skin seems to be finally clearing up too!

Just about to head off to bed, but I really wanted to work on my drawing a bit more. I'm getting there, but the proportions are always tricky.

Have you guys ever tried cauliflower pizza?

Steph x.
